She has taught for over sixteen years in a variety of different schools in the UK where she was leader for Literacy for students aged 11-14, plus her teaching in international schools in Singapore, Qatar and Brunei where she taught the International Baccalaureate, IGCSEs in English Literature and Language, and IELTS. Roslyn, teacher of Maths, Science and Information Technology, Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and Graduate Diploma of Education from Deakin University, has a total of 30 years teaching Maths. She is the Head of Information Technology and Reporting & Assessment at Bentleigh Secondary College, and has ever been invited to participate in VELS IT Curriculum Design and the VCE IT Study Design at VCAA. As a member of the Management Committee of Victorian Information Technology Teachers' Association, she presented numerous learning sessions for other teachers at IT Teachers' Conferences. Andy, teacher of Maths, has been teaching Maths/ Computing/ Physics / ESL both in and out of Australia for more than 10 years. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from Victoria University of Technology and Master of Science in Computing from Sydney University of Technology. Very popular among kids of different ages as a maths teacher, his wealth of experience in teaching Maths, particularly his years of maths teaching overseas at Singapore International School and his ESL qualifications, has set him a high standard of maths teaching and will benefit more students here at Brighten Education.

Crystal, teacher of English, graduated from Dalian University of Foreign Languages in China and has been teaching English to students aged from 3 to 18 for nearly 18 years since 2001. With her patience, enthusiasm, and most importantly, peculiar and effective communicative teaching approaches, Crystal is always able to interest her students in learning English, and inspire and help them build up confidence in their use of English. Of the students she taught, quite many have been admitted into top secondary schools.

Martin, teacher of Robotics, Masters of Information Technology – Software Engineering from Central Queensland University, Bachelor of Informatics and Communications, and Diploma in Automation and Electronics. He is a trainer for Windows, IOS and Ubuntu Operating Systems and programming languages such as Asp.Net, Java, C++. His motto, “By learning new things you open new opportunities.”

Zac, teacher of Maths, Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University and Master of Education (humanities and mathematics) from La Trobe University, more than 4-year teaching VCE Accounting and Further Mathematics, and teaching Year 7 and 8 mathematics. His Year 7 student got the highest marks in numeracy in the Australian NAPLAN test. His motto is, “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instil a love of learning.”

Fiona, teacher of English, has extensive experience in teaching and tutoring English and mathematics to primary and secondary School students from Year 4 to Year 11 since January 2011. She is able to adapt her teaching to a variety of learning styles, utilise a range of communication strategies to enhance understanding, and provide individualised study plans. She has a strong learning capacity, with her VCE ATAR score being 98.65.

Charles, teacher of English, Master of Arts in English and Literature from Shanghai Jiaotong University, has been an EAL teacher for more than 15 years, with his students ranging from primary school children to university students to on-the-job employers. He well understands the difficulties and common problems that new arrival migrant students have in their English and school learning in Australia, and is devoted to helping them narrow the gap in both language and culture with the local Australians.

Jamie, teacher of Maths, Bachelor of Science (Mathematics Major) from the University of Melbourne and Graduate Diploma in Education Australian Catholic University in teaching Maths and Science. He a passionate teacher with wide experience in teaching mathematics to students of various age groups up to VCE maths in both the private and public students in Australia as well as in the United Kingdom.

Maxim, teacher of Robotics, Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Fanuc Academy (Advanced Robotic programming and integration, highly interactive with his students in his teaching. He is a professional mechanical engineer with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and specific interest in automation, and applies strong mechanical background and well-developed skills in CAD/CAM software. His motto is, “Deep into engineering nature.”

Bing, teacher of Robotics, Bachelor of Educational Technology from East China Normal University in Shanghai and Master of Teaching from Monash University. She has an eye for the differences in the learning style of individual learners and always tailor-makes curriculum plans for her students. With her high proficiency in computer and programming, she adopts a student-centred teaching strategy and is apt at fostering reasoning capability and problem-solving skills through active exploration games and activities, which partly results from her excellence at Monash University where she was the Best Mentor at Education Faculty and the Leader of the Graduate Student Learning Hub at Education Faculty.

Kathryn,teacher of English, Reading and Maths, Bachelor of Primary Education from Australian Catholic University, has abundant experience in the primary and secondary teaching roles. She was the Learning Enhancement Coordinator and Teaching and Learning Leader and Curriculum Coordinator and Classroom Teacher at Lakeside College. She also provided an outstanding level of classroom teaching to students from Years 5-6 at St Elizabeth’s Primary School. Dr Hoy, teacher of English, Reading, Literature and Public Speech, a PhD in Comparative Literature from La Trobe University, a teacher of English, Writing, literature and EAL, and has vast 30 years of experience in teaching and researching ESL, Literature, Journalism, Business Communications and public speech. He is also an editor of several journals and textbooks. Dr. Hoy is very humorous in his teaching and is skilled at engaging his students in learning in different teaching methods and is hence widely favoured and respected by his students.
