Yi Jia did veyr well in class today SHe has avery good grasp of conjunctions and gramatical points. She is also very creative and enjoys writing her own sentences. They are always fun and interesting. She sometimes doesn’t understand the more complicated homophones, but this is understandable and that will naturally improve as she reads more (whish she seems to enjoy) yet she is also not shy in saying that she doesn’t understand, which is very good. Keep up the great work Yi Jia! However doing homework has been an issue. Next term I would like parents to be proactive… Read more »
Li Jia is very lively in class; She is doing much better now that she is in class with others. It allows her to tap into her competative side to find the answers first. She needs to just keep her focus as she tends to get distracted changing her background and going off to find her other books. But I think that it is positive that she wants to read outloud to the class to practice, so I do not discourage her in this.
Yijia actively joins in the class and has a passion for learning. She has finished all of her assigned work during the term and actively learns from the teacher. Yijia needs to work on her mathematical vocabulary and skills.
During term 3, the class was focused on:
Money Time Fractions 2D and 3D shapes Measurements rhyming synonyms and antonyms singular and plural nouns pronouns, nouns and verbs
Next term, the class content will include Year 3 Algebra, Geometry, and English.

Yi Jia has a very good vocabulary, but needs to focus more, we began the class with a sentence building activity and she did very well. However when it come to engaging and working from the book she is less dedicated. She does have the knowledge and capability. At the 40minute mark, we agreed on a 5 minute break. She did not come back to class despite several requests for almost 20minutes. So time management was an issue today.
Yi Jia has a really good vocabulary, but she was not very focused on learning in class today. As I can’t see exactly what she is doing on the other side of the camera it is difficult to gauge whether she was completing the tasks. Homework: Finish the sentences of page 46 with descriptive words from the box at the top of the page.
YiJia completed her homework from last week. In class we did pages 34-36. Homework: pg 36 decribe the dogs and cats. Li Yijia has a wide vocabulary and was able to produce some great adgectives like “fabulous and magnificant” however she did spend a little too much time changing her Zoom background and not completing the tasks. She scored 8/10 on the final test on pg 35! Well done Yijia
Yijia has got a great improvement in her English learning. She could read more fluently with fewer errors and she could understand the meaning of each text much better than before. Especially, she is very engaged in each session and always interacts with the teacher and other classmates. She attends all the class activities in a positive manner and respect other children in class. She did great job in recent five weeks. Well done.
Yijia did a great job in her final exam of Joyful Reader. She has a good understanding about the story and answered each question in a correct manner. She could use the capitalised letters and punctuation correctly. What she needs to improve for next term is that she could practise reading the stories with more appropriate tone and voice. Moreover, it is important for her to accumulate more vocabulary and this is what we will learn for next term.
